“Now, more than ever, we want to continue delivering great theatrical work to you, across the UK and beyond. Here at ATC, we’re committing to the future. We’re commissioning new plays now, to ensure theatre returns to your stages stronger than ever. Please help ATC #ContinueCreativity. Every little helps!

Our mission to bring global voices to local places, to celebrate the connective tissue that binds the cross-cultural nations within our communities, has even greater meaning now than ever before.

During the pandemic, we were forced to disconnect from other humans. As artists, audiences and participants – ATC can, with its partners and peers, help to reconnect us.

As a leading voice in advocating and provoking, particularly in relation to representation, equality of opportunity, and commissioning new work, ATC will #bethechange

Can you support us in BEING THE CHANGE? Please DONATE to help us make the most of the chance of a lifetime – to shape a more equitable world and be at the forefront of positive action for a positive future.

Your SUPPORT will help us:

  • Commission new play commissions from global voices, such as Family Tree about the story of Henrietta Lacks.
  • Stream our productions to more people, in more places, at more affordable prices
  • Give sustainable career development to theatre-makers from the global majority and work to improve socio-economic diversity in the arts, through the ATC Associate Director programme

ATC’s mission is to create dialogue between Britain and the rest of the world – and between the intersecting cultures within our own nation.

We are the only UK theatre company committed to producing plays that come from beyond our shores. We are also passionate about giving voice to the ‘outsider within’ – the cross-cultural nations within our own nation.

We tour these plays right across Britain, creating, developing and sustaining a dialogue between ‘the other’ and UK audiences. In an increasingly polarised society, we want to ensure that the international remains a vital part in the national conversation.
